TatecDESMA9 Week 2

Mathematics is one of the most influential things in the world. No matter what, there was a math that went into accomplishing a task.  In art and science there has been one great denominator which is math.  In one of the videos (https://nathanselikoff.com/) there was a clock figure that was projected on the wall and the interior of the clock was movement.  The movement was parallel to the sound of your voice or any other sound you wanted. In the picture there is two women preforming a hand shake to make noise but to also present a pattern of art up on the clock on the wall.

Talking about math in Science and art, there is no way we can pass up mentioning the name Fibonacci.  He was one of the most important minds of his time when it came to these type of things. In his "Fractals and Finance Markets" video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RE2Lu65XxTU) there are clear examples of where we apply mathematics to the real world of art and science. The picture it is a depiction of the stock markets progress over a certain amount of time.  The spiral was a mathematic chart that that was created for the data of the stock market, but soon became noticed as a work of art surrounding the data.

I learned this week that many artists and scientists enjoy using the mathematics in their work because it gives their audience a challenge to solve and ideas in their head.  People wonder why they would create something like that and how it is so precisely made.
